VKS sharanya welfare society Health Camp is one such special initiative to provide healthcare services to meet the immediate health care needs of the marginalized community in remote rural areas and slums through standalone camps. Customized health camps are organized extensively across the country offering comprehensive health services which are, preventive health camps, eye check up and gynaecological check up camps to a large number of people in selected intervention areas.

Multi-disciplinary projects include gynaecological, paediatric, ophthalmology, Blood Donation camps services etc. Duration of Sharanya Health Camps vary between one day and two days days with frequencies ranging between a month and a year.

The uniqueness of the model lies in its comprehensive approach where health promotion and prevention are given equal importance while curative care is administered.

Many organizations and institutions like Dr Dy Patil Hospital and Tata Cancer Hospital have associated with VKS Sharanya Society to conduct Health Camps successfully.from 2012 onwards.

Community health awareness programmes being conducted to help provide the community with health camps with free medicines.

HIV/AIDS being the highest threat of the entire globe we are concentrating on prevention of the spread of this pandemic. Especially women and youth are most vulnerable to HIV/AID, infection.

We are educating them in the ways it will spread , the measures like sterilization of injection, needles, blood safety and condom usage to be taken to prevent the spread of this epidemic. We have been conducting awareness camps in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal by inviting resource person to address the participants in colleges/ Semi Urban and Rural areas and Slum areas.
